GenCon UK 2007
Thanks to all those involved in organising this event, and to those who
contributed to a very enjoyable few days.

The venue was good and I had fun. The accommodation I had was good, and
the breakfasts and cafe were good but the hot food situation was not
good enough - presenting lunch's leftovers as dinner was very
disappointing.

There were not enough RPGs to pick from, especially on Friday, but I
very much enjoyed those I played. In particular, the Animal Farm and
Paranoia games I was in were very noisy and huge fun. I must mention
thanks due to the Men in Black who provided two of the RPG sessions that
I indulged in.

There was some excellent board games around, and I really appreciated
the opportunities offered to try out new games, and some older ones that
had escaped my notice.

The trade hall had a smaller range of stands than I had hoped for, which
was good for my wallet. I was impressed by the organisation of the Bring
& Buy and found some good stuff there. The auction was disappointing,
because the number of people attending was so small. Perhaps there were
just too many good games going on at the same time.

A highlight was the 'live dungeon'. It was very entertaining to watch
people acting out a dungeon crawl while equipped according to the book.
I shall never think the same was about my D&D characters again.

Re: GenCon UK 2007
Hi

Thanks for all the feedback. I am busy collating it so that we can
decide what's most needed for next year and how we can address it.

Please send feedback directly to ratty@genconuk.com so I don't miss
any of it.

Hi

just wondering if you are watching the thread at
uk.games.trading-cards.misc, titled GENCON UK, discussing the reasons
why few MTG players showed up and the disappointment felt by thsoe who
did.

Hi

Yes, I am watching it.

We will definitely address this for next year.
