Interview Excerpts: Tobin Lent, Punch Entertainment
Tobin Lent, Punch Interview Excerpts.

Game Samurai: What is Punch's vision of the mobile games industry?

Tobin Lent: We believe the industry is moving from phase I dominated
by ports of existing arcade, console and PC games to a phase where
growth is driven by more innovative, mobile specific applications that
take advantage of mobile's connectivity and availability. Community
driven apps will be a big part of the high-growth going forward.

GS: What Punch products do you think fulfill this vision?

TL: Well, of course EGO our social networking game. This game
combines fun gameply and social networking to create a totally unique
experience on mobile. It was designed and built from the ground up
for mobile. Also, Mobile Battles: Reign of Swords is a multiplayer
collectibles battle game. It is the first game in our Mobile Battles
series of multiplayer battle games. Gameplay is similar to Advance
Wars, but we really focus on the collectibles element. These products
will both be live in Q1 2008.
