Beware of false price reduction claims
I've just been into the site of one of the UK larger internet game
suppliers who claim to offer attractive prices..

I noted that they were offereing ON THE UNDERGROUND for £26.50
(excluding postage), claiming a £3.50 reduction on the RRP of £29.99.

This could be another case of the '9.99' fixation because ON THE
UNDERGROUND is a JKLM game and I note from their site that the RRP is
£25. So instead of the saving of £3.50 customers will end up paying
£1.50 over the odds.

I guess readers of this newsgroup are canny enough not to be taken in
by these false claims but it is disturbing to think that it goes on.
