Wotan's Arthurian games - opinions?
I am currently one-third of the way through my game-buying moratorium
(to be reviewed after Easter) and am striving to use this period to
bring some of the many unplayed games in my collection to the table.

I am considering the three "Arthurian" titles of Wotan Games: Merlin,
King Arthur and Excalibur. All of them are too Ungermanic to be welcomed
at the main club meetings but I would like to try out one or more at my
local Wednesday games night, where there is a fixed attendance (4
people) but a maximum playing time of around two to two-and-a-half
hours.

I would like to canvass opinion on the merits of these games and their
suitability for presenting to new players - which, if any would you
recommend? At the moment I am leaning toward Merlin but I would have to
do some upgrading of the supplied components.

In peace
