PIPs and the EYFS
I wonder if anyone knows what the best current practise on the PIPS in
Foundation Stage is. As a school we have and continue to use PIPs
assessment of the children in Reception, but really it doesn't link up with
the EYFS comments on progress. I am also aware of the E Profiles comments
being incorrect when compared to the EYFS, so I am a little unsure of what
to do. My wife who works for a different LA said that they have dumped PIPS
about 5 years ago. Not being a FS/KS1 teacher (but responsible for
Assessment) I would like to have a sensible streamlined assessment process
for the FS.
What do you do?
