a big point using Xmas and even told the kids the wrong meaning of it.

Christ-mas. The X standing for the word 'Christ' is very traditional 
shorthand based on the cross, way before textspeak. so X-ian, X-ianity, 
etc. is perfectly acceptable.

The atheist person probably thought it was for "no-Christ mas (X as in 
crossed out or wrong). I know a few people who mistakenly thought that.

She told the kids that X stands for an unknown quantity. By that she
meant no quantity.

She was very anti and I had to correct more than one of her
assemblies.
