Being induced
Dunnit.
Joined a place that has a: gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room,
studio for classes.
You can take part in a class or just turn up and go on the bikes,
treadmills etc - which is what i want.
It has long opening hours.
I can go as many times in a week as I want to.
There is free parking in the next door carpark - which costs a fortune
for shoppers.
All that for £9+ a week, so I thought that was pretty good.
I'm being induced by Tom tomorrow at 3.30. He's gonna measure my blood
pressure.
<gulp.

Yeah - I wish they'd not made me pay until after my blood pressure was
taken.

Yeah because if you have high blood pressure your sporty activity must be
carefully monitored.

The only prob is it is fun to start but that does wane after a while.
I really have to force myself to go in the winter!!
Oh and I love my ipod shuffle with sports headphones.
And sweatbands are easier than towels.

I'm gonna buy headphones cos some of the machines have TV/radio.

We're supposed to bring a towel, but nobody else had one.
I'm gonna go tomorrow. At least I'll find out if it's busy on a Sat.
then.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well-preserved body, but
rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Man, what a ride!"

You'll need one, you *will* get sweaty (or at least your hands will) and you
need to wipe down the equipment.
And an MP3 player, if not an ipod because it is definitely easier working
out to the right kind of music.

Kind of puts you off the idea of going to a gym. Imagine all the other
people's sweat that has dripped all over everything - and they didn't
even bother to bring their towels!

I know, but we have to bring in: a towel, a water bottle, a pen and
carry around a list of exercises, but we're not allowed a bag.
