Chicks!!!
We have two little chicks that hatched out of our 10 eggs in the incubator.
One is fine and running round like a nutter. The other has bent claws and is
hobbling about. After getting advice from breeders I am going in today to
fit Wallace with a pair of nice sandals to straighten his toes out. Now what
colour shall I make them? Am torn between yellow or red!!!

I had one like that last time I hatched out chicks, it had trouble walking
getting to its
food, getting a drink, the others pecked at it and it died right in the
middle of a maths lesson....
it was very traumatic..put me off getting eggs!

Well actually the shoes worked. It hated having them put on but then it
stood up for the first time and then walked. Its a bit wobbly but it is
moving so much better.

We did have to replace the shoes 3 times though

1. He pecked them off.
2. He stood in his own poo.
3. He went for a swim in the water tray!

Now he has blue ones on and he seems much happier.

I don't think he liked the red!
