How about the honour of being a slave?

My class were saying they'd plumb my new kitchen in.
The first boy said £1000 per hour.
The others very quickly undercut him, until it got to £0 per hour.

I don't think they've got the hang of haggling.

About twenty years ago that might have worked.

I think they also need to realise that you would expect to see some
proof of plumbing expertise!

They also offered to paint the kitchen.

It's taken me since last August and I finished last weekend.
They said they could do it in half an hour.

I said I'd want the paint on the walls.
That flummoxed them a bit.
