The worst computers you've encountered in education?
How times have changed!
I thought the Acorns were pretty bad (remember them?) but at least they've gone out of business.
Also the early Windows 95 machines that took about 10 minutes to start up... now they were crap, too.

Idiot.
I'm presuming such a dimwitted and glib comment is intended as a
flame, but I'll dignify it with a reply all the same.
Acorn did more by an order of magnitude for UK IT education than any
other manufacturer - past or present.
In their day, both the BBC Micro and Archimedes were more advanced not
to mention more usable than any other available platforms.
What's more - Acorn hardly disappeared without trace. One of their
many achievements was to spawn ARM Ltd. - which a few months ago
celebrated its 10 billionth processor core shipment.
Mark.

I am still using my Acorn - this machine - and there are new RISC OS
machines and versions of the OS being produced, the latest just last
month
In the meantime, all I hear of Windows Vista is enough to put me off
ever upgrading my 'Doze machine!
