I need access to a Windows Vista / Wireless Computer Facility
I am a computer technician, but I am currently working at a college. I want to
return to work with computers, and I need to update my skills. I need to mess
around setting up some Wireless Networking and Windows Vista installations.

My home network is Wired Ethernet/Linux, so does not suit my learning needs.

I am in the Midlands, and I really could do with access to a computer facility
with some Windows Vista and Wireless Networking stuff lying around, either for
research or waiting to be installed. (I am thinking of a University computer
facility, a college, a school, or large IT firm with this stuff still boxed up.)

I basically want to come in and set up a dummy network.

The skills I want to gain are basically familiarity with Windows Vista, and
knowledge of Wireless Networking security and encryption.

I used to do wireless installations and site surveys when the technology was
in its infancy (802.11b) , so I have some knowledge. I am really just doing a
skills update.

I live in Birmingham, and work in Staffordshire, and it is no problem for me
to drive out. I'll take some time off work to come to the facility, so no
problems.

I have an Enhanced CRB Disclosure and identification, so no problems there. (I
work with children as part of another job that I do.)

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Mark.
