OCR vs EDexcel
Hi all
Probably an old topic, but I could do with some up to date
information!
I cant go into the reason at the moment, but I need to know a little
bit more about the differences between OCR and EdExcel
I have delivered OCR Syll A when it used to be NEAB and I wasnt
impressed. The coursework (let alone the paperwork) was onerous and we
got slated when it came to moderation. I seem t remember that you
didnt find out who was going to be moderated until after you had
submitted the marks which added extra pressure, unlike EdExcel who
tell you who is in the sample before you send your marks in, which
means you can be doubly sure that the marks are clearly evidenced.
Can I ask for any tips (AKA wise things to say at interview :-) that I
should be aware of when I discuss these two specs?
Many thanks!

OCR didn't used to be NEAB. OCR is the merging of Oxford, Cambridge and RSA
exam boards
AQA is the merging of SEB, NEAB and City and Guilds exam boards

Ahhh - thanks! It was the OCR jobbie that we did though unless the
spec is identical to the "other" one!
