Good evening
Hello, everyone!

Is this NG still somewhat active (or is it completely hijacked by that
annoying admin@ouchat.org)? If so, I'd love to hear from you.

Doing MST121 now, soon MS221 as well. [Eventually, with some luck, BSc
(Hons) Math % Comp Sci.]

Regards,
//Herbert

So you want to know the length of a day at your place? Use some

It's extremely quiet but there are no doubt other OU students reading.

I have degrees from many more years ago than I care to remember so
I've decided to do an OU degree to sustain me into my dotage. I did
MU120 this year plus S197, S196 and S194 and I'm starting MST121 and
MS221 in January, so I think we'll be doing the same MS221
presentation.

I haven't decided yet whether to do a straight maths degree or to go
for a Physical Science variant. A mathematics degree would be
cheating a little because I've done maths before, although the detail
is rusty. I'm doing the maths courses at the moment both as a gentle
introduction to the OU and to revise the material. I quite like
cosmology, so may well concentrate on that after MS221.

It must be especially difficult for OU students outside Britain - I
suppose tutorials are impractical. If you'd like someone to
correspond with on MTS121 and MS221, I'll be happy to do so.

I assume you're aware of the OUSA forums, too?

Mike.

Hi there,
I'm going into my third year of B25
