Recommendations for an iPhone password app
Can anyone recommend an app for storing passwords? I've tried 1Password
but can't get on with the interface.

I don't need to auto-fill passwords in my browser; I just need to store
them and view them. I'd prefer a PIN or other quick-entry method to get
at them (damn the security). I don't want something tailored
specifically to cards or websites, as I will be storing both as well as
notes etc.

Syncing to a desktop app would be nice; syncing to my actual keychain
would be even nicer.

Anyone?

Try looking on Google, before you post here.

You don't get on with 1password because you don't understand how it works
properly. Watch screencastsonline, there's a good tutorial on there. Watch it
and be enlightened.

SplashData have released SplashID for the iPhone.

<http://www.splashdata.com/splashid/iphone/>

I used to use it back in my Palm days and was very happy with it
although I am a 1Password person these days.

It supports synchronisation to their desktop version but I don't think
that it uses the keychain.

Keychain Access.app

already installed on your computer, and integrated with your account.
Make Secure Notes as you require.

And your recommendation *after* you read the subject carefully? :-)

Heh.

FWIW I use 1Password on both Mac (via MacHeist or something similar)
and (because it was free on the app store) iPod Touch.

My fault for not specifying iPhone in the body as well! I'm guilty of
just paging through everything and only reading the bodies, so I should
know better.

Sorry Simon!

Okay. I've been trying to find out information about SplashData
(screenshots and stuff) but there doesn't seem to be much out there.
What there is, does seem better than 1Password (for me) but I think sick
squid is enough to make me make to with 1Password which I got when it
was free.

It seems like nothing out there does. I'd have thought that would be an
obvious feature. Never mind...

Thanks for the recommendation.

I have none. I offer apologies instead.
