Ironically, Plex (the Mac 'port' of XBMC) makes the fans on my MacBook
Pro ramp up to full speed. Oddly (but thankfully) only when displaying
the menus, not the actual videos themselves...

SDTV at the moment, yes.

The usual CPU usage for watching/recording telly on the Mini is under
50% (of 200%), usually under 30%, but plastic MacBook fans are a bit
trigger happy.
