Only do wider reading when you've exhausted the reading list and completed the assignments supplied by your tutor or the course handbook - if in doubt ask. Most courses have a clear design, and assessment is based on looking for specifics. Make sure you follow the course instructions (including reading list) first, and you'll have a much easier time! What topics does the course cover? Depending on the course content, it might be easier just to borrow books from the library or read up on stuff online than buying them. I've still got books from my software engineering degree (bought 10 years ago) that are so specialized that no-one wanted them when I tried to sell them on. mh. -- http://www.nukesoft.co.uk http://personal.nukesoft.co.uk From address is a blackhole.
