Almost nothing ever breaches advertising 'standards', remember,
they allowed Cigarette advertising for DECADES, and like today's
alcohol ads, that stuff is toxic.. it can kill you!!! B^D

For the Christian ads, which were also permitted, they got two.
Araiane Sherine and Richard Dawkins?
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAA
So what did the ASA determine?

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
It's just as I said.. Atheists have BELIEFS, they put them on bus signs!

I must agree that advertising 'standards' have not had a track record
of being anywhere near decent ethics.

If anything, it shows how very intolerant theists are compared to
atheists. You seem to be very proud of that idea.

Actually no. Because the "probably" was added the ad became subjective
and an opinion. Therefore it is not suited for objective
substantiation. It's the whole initial reason that the "probably" was
added, so it could not be banned due to politics or the ads postponed
by dragged out court cases.

Come up with some evidence and we'll talk further. Till then the most
logical choice by far is atheism.

# So, Even when making a fallacious Appeal to Authority,

#
# Now if you want to see what is making Dawkins look

# the Atheist Catechism of beliefs:
#
# The words
# "That it will never come again is what makes life so sweet"
# are quoted from the poet Emily Dickinson.
#
# Well done Atheists, you are such a cheery and Inspirational Lot! B^D
#
# Of course that quote while typical of Dickinson's
# obsession with Death, may upset Buddhists, but is
# perfectly in line with Christian beliefs!
# But it's nice to know what a broad epistemology
# drives Atheist BELIEFS!
#
# B^D
#
# "Dickinson was troubled from a young age by the "deepening menace"
# of death"
#
# What deepening menace? It's a natural physical phenomenon!! B^p
# Face it with complete detachment, you theological wimps!
#
# Why are Atheists so fearful that they have to cling to
# their beliefs for comfort?
#
# Later she spoke of her depression:
#
# "... some of my friends are gone,
# and some of my friends are sleeping
# sleeping the churchyard sleep
# the hour of evening is sad
# it was once my study hour
# my master has gone to rest,
# and the open leaf of the book,
# and the scholar at school alone,
# make the tears come,
# and I cannot brush them away"
#
# "The Dyings have been too deep for me,
# and before I could raise my Heart from one,
# another has come."
#
# "Dickinson's poems reflect her "early and lifelong
# fascination" with illness, dying and death. Perhaps
# surprisingly for a New England spinster, her poems
# allude to death by many methods: "crucifixion,
# BWAAAAHAHAAHAHAAA ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
# drowning, hanging, suffocation, freezing, premature
# burial, shooting, stabbing and guillotinage"
#
# Sounds like a vision of 20Th Century Atheism was her Muse! B^]
#
# "I hope they'll brighten people's days and make
# them smile on their way to work." - Ariane Sherine
#
# BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAA
#
# Sure, while they listen to Leonard Cohen on their iPods
# and contemplate Euthenasia! B^D
The Emily Dickinson Ad is great, it's SO EMO!!! B^p
Voted More likely to make people THROW THEMSELVES UNDER
THE BUS THAN THE CHRISTIAN ADS!!!!!!
hence the 256 complaints!!! B^D

#
# Recently the first in a SET of beliefs forming the
# Atheist epistemology was rolled out. Today we look
# at some of the OTHER things that Atheists believe in! B^)
#
#
# "No God, but Atheists believe in buses" B^D
# Guardian 8/1/2009
#
# See the Guru who really looks the part of someone who
# has 'stopped worrying and is Enjoying Life': B^D

#
# "Author Richard Dawkins, who wrote The God Delusion,
# lends his support as the London bus atheism advertising
# campaign is launched. Photo: Reuters"
#
# See the Movie Stars and celebrities, - they believe,
# why don't you? B^D
#
# Organisers unveiled quotes from public figures
# including Albert Einstein, Douglas Adams and Katharine Hepburn
# who have endorsed atheism, or at least expressed scepticism
# about any creator."
#
# So, Even when making a fallacious Appeal to Authority,
# the Atheists have to appropriate celebrities from the
# agnostics to pad the numbers! B^D
#
# Now if you want to see what is making Dawkins look
# so glum, have a look at some of the other gems from
# the Atheist Catechism of beliefs:
#
# and contemplate Euthanasia! B^D
The Emily Dickinson Ad is great, it's SO EMO!!! B^p
Voted More likely to make people THROW THEMSELVES UNDER
THE BUS THAN THE CHRISTIAN ADS!!!!!!
hence the 256 complaints!!! B^D

Which bi of 'probably' didn't you understand in their slogan? There is
nothing to prove, it is an opinion that there is probably no god, not a
belief, an opinion substantiated since the birth of time as this 'god'
has never appeared to anyone anywhere andc I don't give a toss for the
myths of the 'holy books'.

The ad itself was ambiguous, but the url with it left nothing to the
imagination:
"The campaign began when comedy writer Ariane Sherine saw an advert on
a London bus featuring the Bible quote, When the Son of Man comes,
will He find Faith on this Earth? [sic]. A website URL ran underneath
the quote, and when Sherine visited the site she learned that, as a
non-believer, she would be condemned to everlasting separation from
God and then spend all eternity in torment in hell."
Throwing yourself under the bus was an exageration, a metaphor if you
will (you should be familiar with them, the bible is riddled with them
according to the churches). It's descriptive of what the message tells
non-believers: that you're evil and will be tortured for eternity.
The rest is just pulling stuff out of context etc. Let me quote a
piece from the faq as a response:
"Isnt this just atheist preaching like religions do?
This has been an overwhelmingly positive campaign. Its lighthearted
and peaceful, and is meant to reassure rather than preach. After all,
an advert on a bus isnt going to convert anyone, and the vast
majority of religious commentators have recognised it as a simple
statement of atheist and humanist beliefs. The advertisements were
designed as a response, an affirmation for people that its OK not to
be religious; that if you are not religious, there is absolutely no
reason to worry about that, and that one can lead a happy, enjoyable
and rewarding life without religion. Of course, most non-religious
people recognise that the best way of leading a happy, enjoyable,
positive and rewarding life is by working with, cooperating with, and
supporting other people of all beliefs to do the same."
This was a positive message. One meant to make people feel better. If
you can't cope with that it tells a lot more about you then the bus
ads.

No, it's a rational argument, which a non-believer, agnostic, or
any secular humanist philosopher could, and do, ask!
And the agnostics, a far larger group of non-believers than
the Atheists, are as unconvinced by your lack of logic or
factual evidence as theists are, and they shun your beliefs!! B^)
You irrational obsessives have 'theology' on the BRAIN! B^D
You even think YOU suffer 'religious discrimination! B^D
Atheism is an IDEOLOGY, not a THEOLOGY as many Atheists claim;
# "THE Atheist Foundation of Australia has lodged complaints
# of religious discrimination in Melbourne and Hobart
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
# after being refused permission to put atheist
# advertising on buses." - The Age 29/1/2009

Indeed, I have quoted from the various warring sects;

# Communism is a religion .
Atheism is the natural and inseparable part of Communism.
-Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin)
And so.. round and round the Atheists go! B^)
And achieve NOTHING!!! B^D
But why would any rational person be concerned about the
utterly irrational confusion and factional disputes among
warring Atheist sects? B^D
Theists have for centuries, got on with the job
ob building an ever advancing Human Civilisation, guided
by Divine principles that warn of every evil that the
Atheist regimes implemented! Theists create.. from the model
of their deity.. Atheists deny, from the emptiness of theirs.
Some think it's a religion, others insist it is heresy to say so! B^D
Atheism does take on some of the more turgid and least productive
aspects of theology, vix; the tendency to ignore all empirical
evidence and to focus on abstruse 'How many angels fit on the
head of a pin' type arguments where they can endlessly blather because
falsification/verification is impossible! That is why so many weak
and fourth rate intellects are drawn to Atheism, no matter
how inept they are, a logical resolution is impossible! B^D
Heres an example of that sort of empty blather;
> If I say
> there is no Father Christmas that too is a matter of opinion which
> ought to be disallowed perhaps.
I disagree. Why should any opinions be disallowed?
I have led the Theists for Atheist Hypocrisy Foundation,
supporting your right to blather till your heart's content!!!
It's the Atheists who historically have run BRUTAL TYRANNIES
suppressing that right to speech, along with every other right!!! 8^o
It's the Atheist claim to RELIGIOUS discrimination which is hilarious!
Atheists are the ones claiming to be a religion, the rationalists
and theists think that is absurd!
I support free speech by Atheists because the more your beliefs are
exposed, the more CONFLICTED, CONTRADICTORY they are seen to be
and thus less attractive your ideology is! B^D
That is why in every thread I have run exposing the fallacies
of Atheism, the Atheists evade the issue and try to return to their
single Script! B^D I have speared their Achilles heel. B^]
The Christian campaign, misrepresented by that Fraud Sherine,
far from causing people to suicide, as that lying bitch claimed,
attracted no concerns.. the Atheist campaign aroused hundreds of
negative responses, from Theists and rationalists!
It was rubbish.. based on Beer ad tactics and blatant LIES!!!! B^D
> But what the ASA thinks has no bearing

The ASA, which is hardly a Tiger when it comes to truth in advertising,
had a point that the Atheist campaign was unsubstantiated .. mere
opinion. It's Bus Beliefs from Atheists.. as I have outed it from the
outset!

Atheism is an IDEOLOGY, not a THEOLOGY as many Atheists claim;
# atheism counts as a religion, though we say

Indeed, I have quoted from the various warring sects;

Heres an example of that sort of empty blather;
> If I say
> there is no Father Christmas that too is a matter of opinion which
> ought to be disallowed perhaps.

The ASA, which is hardly a Tiger when it comes to truth in advertising,

opinion. It's Bus Beliefs from Atheists.. as I have outed it from the

There is no evidence that ANYONE other than Sherine and Dawkins were
at all concerned with the Christian bus ads.
The hysterical campaign Sherine beat up was based on lies and fraud.

That the ASA DID determine was that the atheist ads;
"were an expression of the advertiser's opinion

objective substantiation."
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHA
Mere opinions, not able to be substantiated objectively..
They are just BASELESS Atheist BELIEFS! B^D

So, someone needs to run ads countering the FEAR and WORRY the ATHEIST
ads are causing! B^D DIRECTLY!! No one needs to go home, log onto
the internet and go to their website to be frightened enough to
run all the way back and THROW THEMSELVES UNDER A BUS!!!
Look at the rancid LIES the Atheist campaign is based upon,
which NOT ONE ATHEIST criticised even after I was the first to
point out what complete and utter BULLSHIT it is:
# You stumble out of the tube, and are confronted
# with the number 168 bus. *It tells you that, along
# with your boss, a man with a beardy face is going
# to be upset with you, for ever, because you've

# here and say hi.* You promptly throw yourself
# under the number 168 bus."
# - Ariane Sherine,
# The Guardian 20/6/2008
EVERYTHING between the *'s is a COMPLETE LIE!!! 8^o
This fraud has swindled thousands from Atheist dupes who
never CHECKED THE FACTS.. but BLINDLY BELIEVED because that's
how CULTS operate!! And the Cult Leader BACKED THE lying bitch!
His credibility as an objective scientist is SHOT To SHIT! B^[
>>> If anything, it shows how very intolerant theists are compared to
>>> atheists. You seem to be very proud of that idea.
Rational people SHOULD protest lies and SLANDER.
Sherine LIED about the theist ads, her own ads were
the ones which created worry, not removed it!
So the atheist ads are FALSE, not just unprovable beliefs
as the ASA found!
>> OH THAT IS HILARIOUS! Sherine STARTED her Bus Belief campaign with

>> themselves UNDER the bus! Complete and utter SLANDEROUS BULLSHIT!

No, the ad merely asked a question.. there is no ambiguity in that!
The appropriate term, as confirmed by the
MASSIVE POPULAR UNCONCERN is 'innocuous'!! B^]
Why do you rabid dogmatists CONTINUE to lie!?
> but the url with it left nothing to the imagination:
So it is unambiguously a URL! So fucking what?
It's no more scary than the innocuous QUESTION!
What kind of insane, weak minded neurotics are atheists that a
Question and a URL would make them throw themselves under a bus??? B^p
Sherine clearly, and FALSELY, described the MESSAGE on the bus,
and it's likely outcome as;
# *It tells you that, along
# with your boss, a man with a beardy face is going
# to be upset with you, for ever, because you've
# refused to acknowledge his existence, despite
# the fact that he's too antisocial to come down
# here and say hi.*
No it doesn't. this is an utter FABRICATION, SLANDEROUS LIES.
I will write to the Religious groups in the UK and suggest to
them they consider a religious vilification action,
perhaps one for each faith, not about the Atheist bus ads,
but this outrageous and vile lie!
And it is not a joke, she manufactures dire consequences
for anyone seeing the STRAW MAN she has pulled from her lying arse!
# You promptly throw yourself
# under the number 168 bus."
If only the irrational hysteric had!! pfffft!
Then there might have been some reason to take the
pathetic fraud seriously!
> "The campaign began when comedy writer Ariane Sherine saw an advert on
> a London bus featuring the Bible quote, When the Son of Man comes,
> will He find Faith on this Earth? [sic].
Yes and the LYING bitch claimed that SEEING THAT AD WOULD CAUSE
PEOPLE SUCH UPSET THAT THEY WOULD THROW THEMSELVES UNDER THE BUS!
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA
It's just a fucking Question! B^D
How scared are you morons!???
I know MY questions make you all shit yourself, so I can see how
the theist ad could inspire terror.. but only in you fuckwits!! B^]
Sherine then went about telling everyone a CAMPAIGN was needed
to counter the Fear and Concern caused by the Chriistian ad.
WHAT fear and concern? B^D who but whining atheists who need
to GET A LIFE, could GIVE A FUCK!?
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAA
And she FRAUDENTLY raised funds from the community based on this

DESERVE EACH OTHER!! They have the same uncritical gullibility!
They are locked in a Battle of the Mental Midgets.. the rest of the
world, secular and Theist, just quietly gets on with life. B^)
I have already covered all of this, it changes nothing about the
documented lies.. it merely demonstrates that Atheists support
lies and slander;

There is NOTHING in the theist ad which would cause any sane rational
human to throw themselves under a bus, or worry, or even be upset
enough to make a compalint
"I saw a question.. it asked me to think, and my brain hurt!'
"Am I an atheist retard or what"? B^D
> a metaphor if you will
I fucking well will NOT, you pathtic lying moral maggot!
It is not an metaphor for the bus ad AT ALL..
It is a completely FALSE, lying, MISREPRESENTATION of the bus ad.
It *IS* a metaphor for vile slandering Atheist PROPAGANDA!!!
Pravda would be proud of you all!
>(you should be familiar with them, the bible is riddled with them
> according to the churches).
Yes and clearly you are clueless about what a metaphor is!
In teh bible Metaphors are used to create analogues between physical
(material) entities and the spiritual (immaterial) entities we wish to
describe.
Thus we might describe thought ideas or wisdom as 'a light'
Or love as a burning fire.
But calling an innocuous QUESTION a frightening diatribe
likely to cause people to summarily suicide...
Well, that is complete and utter bullshit which only an
intelelctual and moral defective would try, to cover for another
member of their CULT!!!
> It's descriptive of what the message tells

Yes, Billions of people have faith.

You mean scared like Christers are of atheistic logic ?
Unlike followers of early primitive superstitions we do not get all hot under
the collar when we read or hear religious propaganda, all we do is feel sorry
for you.
And as pointed out to you before, your use of expletives in your posts simply
shows how insecure you are.
I prefer poignant slogans . . . . . . . .

people suffer from a delusion, it is called Religion." [ Robert M. PirsigBob

Does the theological authority of the British ASA mean anything to
you then? You feel confirmed by their latest judgment? You really are

# Ariane Sherine's Atheist Belief Campaign exposed as a fraud!
#
# The systematic proselytising of atheist beliefs on English
# and Spanish buses has been publicly presented by Atheists,
# including Sherine herself, as a response to theist beliefs
# presented on the sides of buses which Sherine claims are so
# despairing that people might instantly throw themselves
# under the bus! 8^o
#
# Imagine you've had a really bad day, and it's only 8.30am.
# You've spilt killer orange juice all over your crucial
# work documents, you're pressed up in a tube train
# against a commuter whose armpit smells like a
# biological weapon, and you're late for work and
# your only excuse is "I glued my hand to a dog".
#
# You stumble out of the tube, and are confronted
# with the number 168 bus. It tells you that, along
# with your boss, a man with a beardy face is going
# to be upset with you, for ever, because you've
# refused to acknowledge his existence, despite
# the fact that he's too antisocial to come down
# here and say hi. You promptly throw yourself
# under the number 168 bus."
# - Ariane Sherine,
# The Guardian 20/6/2008
#
# That is the Atheist hysteric's own description of the effect
# she claimed the theist messages on London Buses could have!
# It's the absurdist rant of a blithering Lunatic!
# [In fact the "Advertising Standards Authority" had only ONE
# other complaint, and no suicides were reported! B^]
#
# The complete misrepresentation of the theist campaign becomes
# clear when you read it, and discover it is merely a QUESTION,
# inviting the readers response, and makes no mention of Hellfire
# or damnation:
#
# "Yesterday I walked to work and saw not one, but
# two London buses with the question:
# "When the son of man comes,
# will he find faith on the earth?"
# (Luke 18:8)." -ibid

# after being asked that question.. apart from the atheists of course,
# who seem to be SHITTING THEMSELVES IN HYSTERICAL PANIC!
#
# BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAAAA!
#
# And the ridiculous fantasy that reading such an innocuous question
# will tip people into suicidal despair, is fully backed by Richard
# Dawkins, supported and FUNDED by the Atheist cult at large!
#
# Cult is the ONLY appropriate term for simple minded idiots
# who could, uncritically, accept such arrant NONSENSE on BLIND FAITH!
#
# And so, with no one throwing themselves under buses, or evening
# being worried enough to complain, in fact no evidence anyone except
# the Hysterical, lying Atheists gave a toss at all, the cult
# produced the first of their counter-beliefs.
#
# Apparently, they followed a website link to those who

The idea that there is no evidence for atheism is a theological
opinion with which I suspect some atheists might disagree. If I say
there is no Father Christmas that too is a matter of opinion which
ought to be disallowed perhaps. But what the ASA thinks has no bearing
whatever on the truth of these questions to any normal person with an
opinion of their own either way. You seem to think it backs you up.

In modern Britain your views are those of an off the wall crank.
Atheism has become entirely normal.

There is no argument in the mere assertion. It is a proposition on a
theological question.

Hume did not call himself an atheist. I find his view sympathetic:-.
Men may argue to all
eternity, whether H/ANNIBAL\ be a great, or a very great, or a
superlatively great man, what degree of beauty C/LEOPATRA\
possessed, what epithet of praise L/IVY\ or T/HUCYDIDES\ is
entitled to, without bringing the controversy to any
determination. The disputants may here agree in their sense, and
differ in the terms, or vice versa; yet never be able to define
their terms, so as to enter into each other's meaning: Because
the degrees of these qualities are not, like quantity or number,
susceptible of any exact mensuration,28 which may be the standard
in the controversy. That the dispute concerning Theism is of this
nature, and consequently is merely verbal, or perhaps, if
possible, still more incurably ambiguous, will appear upon the
slightest inquiry. I ask the Theist, if he does not allow, that
there is a great and immeasurable, because incomprehensible
difference between the human and the divine mind: The more pious
he is, the more readily will he assent to the affirmative, and
the more will he be disposed to magnify the difference: He will
even assert, that the difference is of a nature which cannot be
too much magnified. I next turn to the Atheist, who, I assert, is
only nominally so, and can never possibly be in earnest; and I
ask him, whether, from the coherence and apparent sympathy in all
the parts of this world, there be not a certain degree of analogy
among all the operations of Nature, in every situation and in
every age; whether the rotting of a turnip, the generation of an
animal, and the structure of human thought, be not energies that
probably bear some remote analogy to each other: It is impossible
he can deny it: He will readily acknowledge it. Having obtained
this concession, I push him still further in his retreat; and I
ask him, if it be not probable, that the principle which first
arranged, and still maintains order in this universe, bears not
also some remote inconceivable analogy to the other operations of
nature, and, among the rest, to the economy of human mind and
thought. However reluctant, he must give his assent. Where then,
cry I to both these antagonists, is the subject of your dispute?
The Theist allows, that the original intelligence is very
different from human reason: The Atheist allows, that the
original principle of order bears some remote analogy to it. Will
you quarrel, Gentlemen, about the degrees, and enter into a
controversy, which admits not of any precise meaning, nor
consequently of any determination? If you should be so obstinate,
I should not be surprised to find you insensibly change sides;
while the Theist, on the one hand, exaggerates the dissimilarity
between the Supreme Being, and frail, imperfect, variable,
fleeting, and mortal creatures; and the Atheist, on the other,
magnifies the analogy among all the operations of Nature, in
every period, every situation, and every position. Consider then,
where the real point of controversy lies; and if you cannot lay
aside your disputes, endeavour, at least, to cure yourselves of
your animosity.

Communism is I grant a religion. Religions do not need to be theistic.
Jainism and Buddhism have both been counted as atheistic.

You misread the statistics. It is entirely normal for people to
conduct their lives without any belief in God, certainly in London
where I live. This is practical atheism. I don't really care for the
bus campaign. It is flogging a dead horse. A poster saying 'Fuck God'
