Do you have such a thing as a home phone.
I do not have a convential landline at my home address just relying on a
mobile, Airtel over here have released a new product called the Home
Phone which is a phone with an 01534 number so it does not cost the
other person a mobile call just the standard 7p per 1/2 hour local call
charge to call me.

To make a landline call on it costs 2p a min which is higher then a JT
landline call cost but there is no monthly rental, its all Pay as you go
and its cheaper then a mobile call.

Seeing as I did not have an 01534 landline before this is good.

Nick, does this really have anything to do with uk.adverts.computer?

Just wanted to know if/why they havent done something like this in England
but I think I know why, you cannot actually call the 01534 number they give
you from a landline only a mobile... what a waste of time.... oh well be
usefull for making cheaper then mobile landline calls.

Let's get this straight. You don't know how to spell thieving and yet you
call someone else a stupid idiot?

Nick is a bit troubled, but he's not causing any harm, just using up a bit
of bandwidth which is hardly a big deal in the broadband age. Leave the kid
alone. You can always block his posts if you're not interested.

No problem Nick I did hear Virgin were thinking along those lines but so far
I haven't had a pile of post promoting it so I guess it hasn't come to pass
.Since the albasanitary towel has changed his identity yet again guess I'll
just have to add another killfile.

If I wasn't forced to have one to get broadband, I wouldn't.
