Friendfinder is a scam
FriendFinder.com and its sister sites claim to be introductions
agencies. Maybe they once were but they aren't now.
According to their publicity, free members can create profiles, paying
members can also view the profiles and initiate correspondence.
But new free members can't read the letters or reply. When asked, the
company said "you may read your mail after 50 days of your registration".
As they don't publish this 50-day rule, very few of the free members are
still around checking their mail after 50 days anyway (if they are
telling the truth about allowing contact after that time - I doubt that
anyone has actually tested it).
In practice the chances of finding someone who can even read your mail,
let alone of finding a romantic match, are almost negligible. The great
majority of profiles, even paying ones, are marked "Last Visit: More
than 3 months". Those that aren't are marked "member since ..." some
date in the last month or so.
So don't give them your money. You won't get anything in return except
advertising.
