Poor old Baroness Scotland.

Apparently she forgot to keep a photocopy of documents produced by her 
employee when starting work.

£5,000 for not having a copy of a document - that's bureaucracy gone mad!

What loony thought up this one?

PS the only time I have ever been asked for my passport was when I was 
working [on contract] in a French research labs with a defence section and 
the Gulf War broke out - then the DGSE asked to see it.
