Roofer
Hi Anybody help me out with this
This evening a knock at the door. Its a roofer who has been next door. He
say to me I have just replaced some roof tiles next door and noticed you had
some missing also. So I have replaced them for you and gives me a bill for
£240 ! I told him I had no intention of paying he then replied we will have
to see what his boss has to say and left. What are my rights in the matter.

Are you looking to sue him for damaging your roof?

Just tell the pikey to fuck off. He will soon see there is no point in
pushing this claim and he will just fuck off. Otherwise he will take your
reticence as a sign of weakness and browbeat you into submission. An
alternative way of dealing with this is to tell them (lie) you rent the
house from a management company and if they would like to present a vat
registered bill, complete with vat number and contact details you will
forward it on. You won't hear anything from them.
