Warmest / Most Tropical place in Scotland?
I pick up my new car soon, and I have 1,000 miles to cover fairly quickly so
I can really start to use it.

Where is the warmest and most tropical exotic place in Scotland? I am not
talking about the Cavindish either ;)
I heard somewhere on the west coast there are palm trees and a permanent
warm gust of wind....

Any ideas for a few days away this side of the border?

Gary.
PS - I crossposted, couldnt find a scotland specific group. Please don't
moan, it will fall on deaf ears.

Campbeltown, I would have thought. Palm trees and a very long car journey.
Closer to Ireland than it is most of Scotland.

Unless you're meaning Inverewe Gardens in the NW. Hey, with 1000 miles to
do you can visit both. Twice.

Someone else also suggested the extreme southwest, Stranrear .

That's another option. I don't know where you live, but chances are
Campbelltown will be a longer drive.

Palm Trees, etc at Logan Gardens, Port Logan, a bit south of Stranraer
facing over to Ireland.

That makes the journey even more attractive. Take the old A9 to Stirling
then via Drymen to Loch Lomond the Tarbert and 100 miles later you're in
Campbelltown.
