Scheme to help homeowners pay repair bills

Homeowners in Glasgow will benefit from a pilot project which will
help those facing housing association repair bills. 

The Scottish Executive announcement was made as hundreds of
protesters descended on Holyrood.  Emergency loans will now be made
available which should remove the threat of court action for those
struggling to pay. Last year an 86-year-old woman was taken to court
over a debt of £1,000.
