Can anyone recommend a card shop in edinburgh. Been round the usual
suspects like Clintons, WH Smith, Sainsburys, Waitrose...all rubbish.
Even Scaramouch where i usually get cards from has failed to impress.
Looking for 2 birthday cards and a mothers day card.

There's a shop, don't remember the name, at the junction Stafford St &
William St which has fun cards.

Casablana on Newington Road. Cards, gifts, the lot. They also gift-wrap
nicely, and can offer suggestions.

There's a new Paperchase in George Street. And a little basement shop
(Bay Tree?) in Hanover Street.

I seem to remember one or two interesting ones in Bruntsfield and
Morningside. The independent shops are always best, especially those that
take unusual cards from local card-makers. Try craft shops, bookshops and
other places like that that don't actually specialise in cards. Oh, and
Oxfam have a nice range.
