Safe place for learner driver ?
My wife and daughter both did a lot of early practice driving (between
"proper" lessons) on the roads of a largeish industrial estate in
Stirlingshire which was deserted evenings and Sundays. Great for 3-point
turns, emergency stops, hill starts etc, and no-one else at any risk.

Son now in Edinburgh and just beginning lessons. Any suggestions of a
similar venue to the above in/near this city?

Many thanks for any ideas

Sighthill industrial estate's popular for this, though it only has gentle
hills.
