In March 2008, Edinburgh Airport will begin a major project to
resurface and rehabilitate its main runway. This work should be
complete by the end of November 2008 and will renew the life of the
runway for at least 10 years. However, the work will require the
airport to change its operation at certain times of the day. This will
result in aircraft operating over, or close to homes that do not
normally experience aircraft noise.

Edinburgh Airport has also set up the following information evenings,
where airport staff will be on hand to provide more information and
answer any questions you may have.

All information evenings begin at 18:30 and finish at 20:30. You can
come along at any point between these times to speak with staff.
