Sairam
Madurai Charitable Trust is a service organization, based on human
values, dedicated to assisting disadvantaged people in Southern India.
MCT is a public, non-profit organization registered in India in March
2002. It is operated by a voluntary Board of Trustees and enlists the
services of many professionals, free of charge.

MCT's Mission is to enact human values by giving service as an act of
love to expand the awareness of all people acknowledging the Divinity
of All.

MCT's Activities raise awareness by assisting people to gain basic
requirements for their lives. There are a number of services provided
to encourage income sustainability, improve health and provide living
support for many people in the rural areas and in Madurai itself.

There is a strong and dedicated core of volunteers who organize the
activities, professionals provide time and expertise to projects and
the communities/ service recipients are encouraged to participate,
support and if appropriate, manage the projects.

Sai Ram Vocational Training Centre (Run by. Madurai Charitable Trust)
150/208, East Veli Street, (M.C.T. Office) is progressing well. There
are 12 sewing machines in the centre, 22 girls are learning in two
batches daily. Women have now been trained in dress making in order to
start their own home businesses and become financially independent
The kadachanenthal (11 km from Madurai) village girls approached us to
start a branch in the rural area. We agreed this good opportunity to
help the village girls. On Tamil New Year (14.04.2007) Saturday 10.40
am at Akash age care home first floor we started sewing class, free of
cost (branch of sairam vocational training centre) for the village
girls to uplift their self development and to live independent life.
We are happy to thank Dr.Tim (Dr.T.N.Kuppusami) for donating two
sewing machines for the centre. 10 more sewing machines will be
needed. 9 girls have joined in the first batch. We need your love and
support.
