Well, he's old, and maybe he had loads of friends when he was younger: now
they're all getting old and shuffling off their mortal coils, and he's going
to be the only one left. I mean, *someone's* got to be the last. And much as
I love my friends,
I'd still like to be the one weeping at their funerals rather than the other
way about....

That's just how it is. It's kind of strange tho' If we didn't live in the
same building I wouldn't have known this.
