Brancaster Brewery Beer
Had a very nice pint of Brancaster Brewery IPA in the Jolly Sailor at
Brancaster today.
Shame the pub left me feeling that I never want to go back there again !
Unpleasant atmosphere, charmless nurk behind the bar - nothing really going
for it.
We decided not to eat there, had one drink and left.

That's not my usual experience of this pub , but these things do
happen and it's regrettable. You only get one first impression!
There is another brew pub nearby at Heacham-I must try it next time
I'm in those parts.
When I started visiting North Norfolk about 35 years ago, every pub was
Watney's which later became Norwich Brewery, just as awful!
The coastal pub situation is transformed these days although the beers
are predominantly Adnam's bitter and Abbot-nothing wrong with either
but I enjoy a choice.But the slow,tranquil and gentle Norfolk of 30
years ago has gone .It has been discovered by Londoners.

Must have been an off day then, but it did feel very uncomfortable.
