De Koninck in bottles
Just mentally preparing myself for my visit to Antwerp in 2 weeks..

Anyone tried bottled deK? They have it here [watch out for word wrap]:

A bit pricey, but any good? If so, I may bring a few back with me from
Antwerp.

I've always found it unpleasant in bottles. The Winter is good though
and I imagine the Antoon (AKA Blond) might taste OK.

Best bet is to hit the supermarkets and try some, you'll struggle to
find bottled deK in Antwerp bars! There are a couple of large ones near
the station, downstairs in the shopping centre at Diamont metro and a
Match supermarket beneath one of the tower blocks on the other side.

Alternately follow the advice at

Antwerp-358974/Shopping-Antwerp-Beer_and_liquor_and_delicatesses-BR-1.html>
and visit some real beer shops for the good stuff.

I find bottled DeK pretty nondescript. It's pasteurised, as is most
draught DeK outside Antwerp. But in Antwerp, mmmm.....

Best regards, Paul
