OT - important warning for cat owners
As someone who lives in the UK and has kept cats for about 20 years, this
was news to me - and a shock to learn of it. Not only that but I actually
had a couple lilies in a mixed bunch of flowers in vase - all now in the
bin.

Lily pollen or leaves, or any part of a lily is extremely toxic to a cat.

A recent death in the UK has been highlighted in our press - and example of
which is below -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/05/06/nlilly06.xml&sSheet=/news/2005/05/06/ixhome.html

It would seem this is a well known fact in the US - but here in the UK it is
virtually not known about.

Hopefully, more publicity will rectify this - I'm taking a news clipping to
work for our noticeboard
