O/T Networking problem
I am hoping that one of our computer experts might be able to answer
my question.

I have a network which has been set up for about 2 years and it has
been problem free.

Last Sunday the network started dropping out every 7 hours. Broadband
is still connected on the main machine.

If I disconnect the power lead on the Dell wireless hub/router and
reconnect it the network is back up and running for another 7 hours.

There are one or occasionally two laptops using the network.

I have MS Windows XP (home edition) - automatic updates
AVG - automatic updates
Zonealarm pro - automatic updates

I have searched the net but can't find any reported problems with
either the hardware or software.

Can anyone suggest the source of my problem?

TIA

P.S. I have posted this on a networking group but they don't seem to
have much traffic so it may be a while before anyone reads my message
over there.

Maybe a conflict. Have you noticed any new wireless networks springing up
where you live? Try changing the broadcast channel to something else (try
10 or 6).

Re: O/T Networking problem
Thank you - I have put in a spare router and all seems to be fine so
hopefully it's just a hardware problem.
