I'm afraid that does sound exactly like our old friend Chris
Martin. He had about eight or nine dogs and brought any random
number of them with him on his daily walks around Cumbria. He
would take photos and post them for us to see.
I thought of him last month while looking through my maps
deciding where to walk in the fells each day. He suggested many
routes to me.
I never met him personally but I miss the guy.

He was a quiet shy lad, played his accordion at one of our boinks. Sad loss.
I have a picture he took that appears on my screen each time I turn my
computer on.
Remembering you, Chris.

He sent me pics of wild and lovely places, usually well off the beaten
tourist track. They were like balm to my sore, homesick eyes.
We learned of his death several months ago from a relative who posted
the news here. I hadn't heard of the manner in which he took his life.

bluebell time last year & walked all the way back down with him,a likeable
chap who seemed to be enjoying life.

That seems consistent with what everybody says about him.

They are slim dogs. I used to tease him asking if he fed them. He sent me a
picture he had taken of a large fox which I needed becuase I was in the
middle of a painting with a fox on and I couldn't get it right.

Somebody made the same point last year and I completely failed to get there
in time to see them. Thanks for the reminder - must try to get there this
year!
