May14-21st What's On?
We shall be up in Cumbria for a break in May. Anything we mustn't miss?
Are Belfagan performing that week?

Re: May14-21st What's On?
Yes, Belfagan will be dancing at the Sun Inn, Bassenthwaite, but
unfortunately I may not be there. Not definite yet, but it's possible
I'll be otherwise engaged that night. But don't let that stop you! It's
a nice wee pub in the midst of the fells with good beer and a pleasant
atmosphere, and *most* of Belfagan too! What more could you ask for?

If you're still around on the evening of Saturday the 21st you could do
worse than go to the Demon Barber Roadshow at the Rosehill Theatre,
near Whitehaven. Read all about it here:
http://www.rosehilltheatre.co.uk/pages/index2.html - you'll have to
scroll down the page a bit to see it. I've got my ticket!

I've just noticed that "waving hankies" makes a wonderful spoonerism.
Puts that sentence into a whole new context!

Pete
(just a quick de-lurk there)
I'll just hang my head in shame for lowering the tone.

Astonishing! Belfagan are still going then? Surely most of this
'dancing' troupe must be well into their 70's by now? As I recall,
the last photo shown on here looked like the cast of Last Of The
Summer Wine filming Dawn Of The Dead.

Anyway Ally, how are you? Hope you are keeping well.

It's simply ages since I've graced this forum - how you must have
missed me. I've read some of the recent contributions which range
from 'poor' to 'extremely poor' and then Ediths. Presumably you have
all been awaiting a grand entrance from myself to enrich your
involvement in this forum? Well here I am. Hoorah!!!

On a lighter note - sod off Jacques.

Oh hum, nice to be back.....

Modest regards,

Lou

Ah, but morris dancing keeps you young, didn't you know? All these people
you assumed to be in their 70s are actually well into their second century -
they'd be dead chuffed to hear you thought they looked so young. And at
least one of these old codgers has produced a brand new mini-morris dancer
since we spoke last - it's amazing what stomping around in clogs & bells and
waving hankies can do for a girl.

Fighting fit, Lou, fighting fit. And getting younger by the day. How are
you? Still wearing the nettle knickers, are you? How's the offspring?

Not really. No.

I'm delighted to see you're enjoying yourself. Well done.
