O/T ebay scam mail again
Received this in my inbox today and forwarded it straight to spoof@ebay.com who have replied with a 'thanks' and a verification that it is NOT from ebay. They also advise the following :-

please forward it immediately to spoof@ebay.com. Do not respond to it or
click any of the links. Do not remove the original subject line or
change the email in any way when you forward it to us.

I got that too, it was very realistic wasn't it. I checked my ebay and it
let me login so assumed it was a scam.

Never reply or give account details in reply to Ebay or Pay Pal emails,
assume they are fraudulent, some are very convincing.

obviously most savvy people wouldnt have replied to this email now would
they, i indeed had several of these mails all in different addresses NOT
connected to my ebay selling account which by the way is SECTORUK on
ebay.co.uk.

I have had two in the last two days. First one panicked me a bit, but I
always forward to ebay. Just in case, and I never reply to any queries from
ebay through a link from an email.

Rule of thumb is that if the email is not addressed to you personally,
then it's a scam and you can safely ignore it.
This goes for Paypal emails as well.

It's very simple - never believe anything you get from eBay (or indeed
anyone else) demanding that you click an embedded link. No-one reputable
or sensible will do that.
