Mike
I would like to draw your attention to the following paragraph from the
competition Terms and Conditions. I assume you will provide the buyer of
these tickets with some form of fake ID, just in case.

2. All prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
Arrangements for the fulfilment of prizes will be made by us. We reserve the
right in our sole discretion to substitute any and all prizes with prizes of
comparable value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the
manufacturer or supplier.

Re: OT Girls Aloud tickets
Well...... I would imagine that half the population on this ng who entered
the competition, because
they WANTED the prize, might be a tad upset.

Especially because of the fact that the guy is promoting the sale, to the
very people who wanted to win
the prize in the first place. Is he taking the piss or what?

Re: OT Girls Aloud tickets
Not at all, I just won but now can't use them.
What should I do? Ritually burn them? Send them to the new Pope?
They're up on ebay and anyone who wants them can bid for them - much easier then winning them and at the current showing there are plenty more going for much less than the £21 that the venue were charging.
As for "promoting the sale," if "half the newsgroup" wanted the tickets, they now have a very easy way of obtaining them.
And to Bob "Parent of a "Girls Aloud fan," did you enter the competition? If not there wasn't much chance that you would win.
Be reassured, the promoters have kindly sent me the tickets, there is no passport requirement so identity won't be a problem.
And they're still available, do your child a favour and put in a bid :o)
Now do you want to start an argument over whether people should be allowed to enter car/house/Ironing board competitions if the already have a car/house/Ironing board?

Not at all Emmo, I just won but now can't use them.
What should I do? Ritually burn them? Send them to the new Pope?
They're up on ebay and anyone who wants them can bid for them - much easier
then winning them and at the current showing there are plenty more going for
much less than the 21 that the venue were charging.
As for "promoting the sale," if "half the newsgroup" wanted the tickets,
they now have a very easy way of obtaining them.
And to Bob "Parent of a "Girls Aloud fan," did you enter the competition? If
not there wasn't much chance that you would win.
Be reassured, the promoters have kindly sent me the tickets, there is no
passport requirement so identity won't be a problem.
And they're still available, do your child a favour and put in a bid :o)
Now do you want to start an argument over whether people should be allowed
to enter Car/House/Ironing board competitions if they already have a
Car/House/Ironing board?
:o)

Mike

I wouldn't worry about who's critizising you Mike - I'd be more worried
about who's sticking up for you... and why! ;-)

Yes, I know what you mean, but I was ever a believer that leopards CAN change their spots, and if Stefan has left "The Dark Side" behind him, I'm willing him on.
Lets give him a chance. :o)

I'm glad to hear that you are a "reformed" character.
I think you will find, once you have regained everyone's trust, that it is better to be part of the group and have "Friends" here than the other option.
However, you know very well that you have, in the past, offended many people here - Some people will understandably take a long time to get over the sort of things the old" Stefan used to say.
The best way to respond to anyone who criticises you is resist any temptation to bite back.

Oh poor little Steffy....always the victim! :-)

Stefan, You have given so many people on this group so much sh*t that even
if you are a reformed character, I'm afraid it is going to take rather a
long time for them to come around to accepting your new persona.....

....as for me, I forgive.....but I never forget!

Maybe you could start by a general apology to any on here that you have
caused misery and upset to...that might go some way to persuading people
that you are genuine...

Cheers
