today. I was feeling blue and then a postcard arrived from Johnny and a
letter telling what is to be done with ALL our verandas.

Yes and he has 3 sisters and 2 brothers here and he was the oldest of them
all and has an inbuilt responsibility for them that is unbelievable. His
father worked on Norwegian ships. The company gave him work in Farsund. He
didn't see much of his family so he brought them over to Norway to live.
After a well 10 years he had a heart attack and wanted to go back home to
Chile. He asked if any of the family wanted to go with him. They all had
their roots in Norway by now, schools work, so they stayed. Farsund is 6
hours drive from here. The road to Kristiansand is no problem but the road
down to the coast from there is narrow and winding and takes up time.
