Hello Edith. How are you?

Fine thank you. I've been to the dentist today with the same tooth that's
bothered me for a long time. I switched dentists to make sure this time it
would be properly seen to. My new dentist is aaaaawfully good looking and
has the sexiest voice. He took a look at my tooth, which I suggested he
should extract, took an x-ray, told me there was an infection at the tip of
the root, wrote out a receipt for penicillin and ibux and said, 60s
please.The tabs which will last 7 days cost 10 so it all came to NOK's
730,-

How's that for day light robbery. I can't wait to go back and have him drill
my head off for probably 4 months groceries :0(

Poor Edith. Keep your chin up dear. I'll send you a sack of potatoes, a bag
of salt and flour if you should go hungry.

Hello, Edith

Sorry to hear about your dentist bill. I've had to have mine drilled 
down and a temporary cap fitted on it. The bill should come to about 
$400, which is about $2000 NOK's, but it'll look good when I flash me 
molars.

I'll just go and munch a Bounty Bar specially brought over from England...

My sentiments entirely. I feel great. I can't quite understand it, but I 
seem to have shed some weight despite the large meals I ate in Cumbria 
and the Full English Breakfasts - and my last-night treat of Sherry 
Trifle; also, I have slept the sleep of the just for the last two 
nights, despite the messing about of my time schedule. I'm usually an 
early bird/insomniac. Clearly, a hike up Latrigg and a stroll around 
Buttermere were just what the Doctor ordered.

Actually, I've just come from town where all the schools and organizations
have their brass bands out walking around town, stopping traffic, practicing
for 17th May - when Norway's laws were put down, in the 1800s. (time they
were updated) I pedalled on me bike today in cold sunshine. Had to wipe the
grit off from last year. Met me son and his little lad and he bought me a
cuppa coffee while the little fellow halved his ice cream with me. Nice,
them two.

Your're Lucky I'm just copying early(ish) Leonard Cohen (Songs of love and
hate, Songs from a Room) from vinyl to cd so I have to listen to all of
the tracks to make sure they're as clean as I can get them.  Now where did
I put my rope? Oh and the sun has come out in Askam.

The sun's out in Askam??? It was piffing down in Dalton..... Had to go to 
Man Airport yesterday to pick up the sisinlaw. Terrific lightning storm just 
on the perimeter. We've been promised these today but Dalton is bright and 
sunny and the washing's out!!

By the way - if you're depressed play some country music backwards. You 
sober up, go back to the wife, and your dog comes back from the dead....
