Couldn't see anything about this on the Ottaker site - is it obvious?

It's on the home page - how much more obvious could it get?

There are six major items on the home page, four of which are comps.
It is one of them and has the same prominence as the others. It
clearly says "Enter our competition to win a home entertainment
system" What more could they have done?

As I said, I would have expected a promotion to be featured prominently -
scrolling down the page, footnotes to the features don't exactly leap out
at you.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this - they have six
promotions and give them equal prominence - why should they favour one
over the others just because it's the one you want to visit? The comp
isn't run as a charity - they want your primary interest to be in the
book itself.

In any case the web site entry form is meant to be ancillary to the
one in the shop - naturally they would prefer you to visit the shop
and hopefully make a few impulse buys while they are there.

Indeed but, for them to get maximum mileage from a promotional activity, it
needs to grab your attention. These certainly didn't grab mine during my
scan down the page.
Anyway, really not looking to be in a state of disagreement here. :-)

It can get very cramped in that cupboard. Anyway I let Phil out for
Compex and he's not returned - I reckon Spyda nabbed him.

That doesn't eat turnips.

Mind you I did read "The GIMP is our answer to the current lack of
free...... " as "The GIMP is our answer to the current lack of coffee"
which didn't help.
