Fanta Holiday (again!)
Hi again,

Another round of questions about this.

I won one of the holidays from last year and opted for a 3 night stay
in Malta.

When I got the confirmations, I had been given B&B, not HB and because
LastMinute said (untruthfully) that there were no late flights on the
Monday, I was given an early flight time.

So, instead of a 3 night HB stay, I have been given 2 nights B&B. I
have to be out of the hotel by 3am on the last night so that I can get
to the airport for a 7am flight.

I've called lastminute.com and they won't change anything, they
actually deny that there is a later flight and insist that the hotel
doesn't do HB, both are untrue. The number I have for Fanta is no
longer in use. Any ideas on what I should do next?

Phone Customer information centre 0800 22 77 11 (Monday to Friday
08.30-18.00)
All Coca Cola products covered and as Fanta is one give it a go

http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/contact/

or if receiving a lack of interest etc. suggest writing to

Marketing Director
Coca-Cola Great Britain, 1 Queen Caroline Street, Hammersmith, London, W6
9HQ.

Marking letter personal and confidential that usually gets you to their
secretary /PA who as their bosses time costs stacks will in my humble
experience try and sort out but don't give up.

Give them the facts and at all times the truth include any correspondance,
e-mails etc. which shows all you want is what you won. But did you read the
small print of the terms and conditions etc. does it mention times of
flights, holiday etc. can vary?
Tell them what you believe is the effects upon how you perceive their
company & brand etc. and how you feel as you complain.

Regards

Re: Fanta Holiday (again!)
Hi

Can I ask what hotel you have been allocated. My son has been given
one with all bad reports on tripadvisor and 7 a.m. flights so he has
decided not to go.

A friend said her hotel (paradise something) was so bad that she
changed hotels at her own expense.

I hope that you get it sorted.

TIA

Our hotel in Barcelona was lovely and in the centre. We did book new
flights though as we are in N.Ireland.

Thanks for that Andrew, I'll try calling them from work tomorrow.

There really isn't much in the way of T&Cs, just that the destinations
and dates are subject to availability. There are seats available
later on my day of return (16:55, KM 118), but they won't give me
them. I reckon it's because the 7.15am (KM 100) flight will be empty?

I'll give them another chance to sort this out, then I'll send a
letter...

Hotel is the 3* Sunflower in St Paul's Bay. I was initially offered a
4* one but that offer was withdrawn.

On the flight times thing. A friend suggested that I may not be
allowed to check out so early in the morning and that I may have to
leave the hotel by noon the previous day, any thoughts?

Most hotels have overnight staff that can check you out as they are
used to late night and early morning arrivals and departures.

Have you looked at your hotel reviews on Trip Advisor?

Re: Fanta Holiday (again!)
Hi again,

Got a reply from the Customer Services people.

Basically they're not interested. Apparently my flights from
Edinburgh to Manchester and Gatwick to Edinburgh have put my prize
allocation over budget and therefore I was offered B&B instead of HB.

I argued that the flights were sorted out AFTER I was given the B&B
offer and that I doubt there are any domestic flights costing 600+
(only 2 in my party, prize allocation was for 4) which is what it
would need to take my allocation over budget. They wouldn't listen.
All I got was "Sorry you feel that way, but we will not change any
details."

Will put my complaint in writing and post the outcome.

Anyone got any advice before I send the letter?
