Re: ot, blocking email messages
I'm getting them too and one of them has a huge virus in it yesterday,
luckily my anti virus found it and deleted it.

I just created a folder called 'spamtrap' and created rules that move
e-mails with 'viagra', 'phramacy', 'pharma' etc. in the subject line
(hint: stick to single words) into that folder. It works for me.

Re: ot, blocking email messages
Without a doubt the best way of avoiding spam is to change to a new email address! I was getting in excess of 300 spams per day when I bit the bullet and made a new address (On NTL you can have 10 or more) and for a month I used my new address for comps etc. but held open the old address for winning emails :o)
Ever since I closed the old one I have been virtually spam free - much less hassle than messing about with anti spam programs!
BTW I have kept my "Original" email address separate from my "completion" address, and never post that on newsgroups or on websites.
