O/T Nutrigrain - Does anybody like them?
I've now tried 3 varieties and they are all equally disgusting. Any advice
on ones that don't taste too bad?

Chocolate chip chewy. Still give you terrible wind though.

I wasn't going to buy nutrigrain cos i know i don't like them but i was
tempted yesterday just to do 8 entries into the competition so bought a
box - the cherry ones. I've just unwrapped them and the smell makes me feel
sick! I think its the outside bit that is so horrible not the inside
flavour, i think they are going to have to go in the bin which is an awful
waste of food but i don't know what else to do with them!

I bought a couple of boxes of the Strawberry flavour bars from Asda on Thursday
and I've actually found after eating 7 of them that they aren't too bad. Though
I won't be buying any more after this competition has finished :-)

Cheers

Kevin

P.S. Asda Birchwood was selling boxes of 8 in a '2 boxes for 3.00' offer when I
bought these. At the time, they had quite a lot left as people seemed to be
avoiding them :-)

Sainsbury's have them on offer. 1.79 for a box of 8 but buy 2 boxes for 2.

Re: O/T Nutrigrain - Does anybody like them?
There is one in a soft bag that I like, it's very moist and has sultanas or
raisins in. I bought one pack in Asda but I haven't been able to find it
since. Can't remember how many were in the bag.

There's a chocolate chip one that's alright, quite crispy, but you only get
six in the box, not eight.

I like the cherry ones and the blueberry ones. I have one everyday for
breakfast even when there's no comp running!
The Apple ones and the chocolate ones aren't too bad but I think the
strawberry ones and the apple & blackberry ones are really really horrible.

Just been to Asda Birchwood again, they have a lot of Nutrigrain competition
packs on the shelves including Strawberry, Apple and the 'elevenses' variant.

Yeah the elevenses are chewy and cake like so actually quite nice only
trouble is just 6 codes in box not 8. I actually don't mind the apple but
hate the strawberry so must have different tastebuds to alot of people on
here lol!
I guess the answer is taste a few different types and see which you or your
family will eat.
Just had a thought I wonder if they would be better warmed up in the oven
sort of like a fruit pie? Pour some custard on and my lot will eat anything
lol. Will have to try and post results here.

Only the apple ones. I quite like the 'chemical taste' of the outer
coating.

The elevenses aren't /too/ bad, but they're still quite grim.

I package them up in the little plastic boxes you get from the Chinese
takeaway and then give them to my ex, who apparently likes them. I also
found one of the neighbours likes them, so she can have some too. And
if they all get nutrigrained out, I can give them to random homeless
people around London, I guess.

As far as I can tell, he's using them as some kind of pick-up technique.
Which is better than I'd hoped, all in all.

I wondered what was upsetting my stomach! Now I know!!

I don't mind any of them, but I wouldn't buy them if it wasn't for the comp.
The Elevenses are quite nice with custard.

Someone told me that you can see the code on the Minis without opening the
packet, so if you want to pass the product on without opening it this may be
the best option - not sure how many you get to the bag though.

Congrats to those who've won already.

Pick-up technique? The mind boggles. "Would you like to come home and
see my collection of stale Nutrigrain bars?"

It wouldn't work with me.

You think they go stale? My dad has some (unwrapped) since the last
promotion, and they're still in the same state as when we unwrapped
them. Staleness implies some kind of organic (meaning that in the
'opposite to inorganic' way) ingredient

I do like the Apple flavour bars.
I quite like the elevenses raisin bars too - BUT I find it takes at least two cups of tea to be able to swallow them! Not dry just stodgy, but tasty!

Yep, they are ok and in Sainsburys for 2 for 2 packs - is that any good?
They also say they have ginger elevenses bars but I couldn't find them!

Fingers crossed for a few more Nutrigrain ng winners asap! :O)
