ADVICE PLEASE
When entering competitions on-line or otherwise, will my chances of
winning be reduced if I dont tick the box or boxes accepting offers or
e-mails from the company running the competition ?

It ought not to make any difference at all, and any big company or one
that has read up on the rules about promotions will respect that and
give you an equal chance - I've had some very good wins from sites
that I've ticked the "no further info" boxes from.
But I think with some smaller companies who haven't taken the trouble
to check on the legal situation they tend to think "Why should I let
them enter my comp if they aren't interested in my product?" (and it's
a perfectly reasonable thing to think seeing as comps aren't run as a
charitable concern, but to generate interest in the product and
hopefully sales revenue) and may well bin the "no info" entries.
The ones that *really* annoy me are the ones that send the info
anyway, even if you tick the box. I entered the moben kitchens
post-in-store comp last week and despite having ticked the "no further
info" box I've had two sales calls this week.
