Swallows!
Must be summer. The swallows are coming back. Yesterday afternoon I counted
4 down the road a bit, sitting on wires and swooping happily about: today
some of the ones that roost in our barn arrived, shouting cheerily to each
other and planning which bits of our property to cover with droppings.

I love to see them, but what a mess they make.... (Just like kids,
actually....)

Ah, but one (or even four) swallows don't make a summer, as my mother used
to remind me when I used to go out without my jacket on...

And kids don't shit on cars from telephone wires either....

I'll give thee the 'Guided Tour'.... That's if I haven't shot 'em dead
first. Last shot just bagged me a feather. I'll just have to be brazen and
stand at the front door instead o' sneakin' round the corner of the bedroom
window!

See ya in a coupla hours, dear.... That's if I can drag the lasses out of
the 'Duke' in Barrow! At least that's where their last text message was
guiding me. Who knows with them two!!

Uuuuuuurghhh - Barrow.... With every respect to those who *have* to live
there!!
