It is likely, though not guaranteed, that any "cheat" entry like this will
be discarded. Web servers log where the last request is linked back to.
In this case, I would expect the competition software to know the
difference between someone jumping directly to the entry form and someone
coming through the competition.

I'm not sure they give a monkey's as long as they have your email
address and phone number so they can flog their 'client' list to the
highest (and lowest) bidder.
Look forward to more random international calls from companies trying
to flog you telephone services etc
