Should commercial posts be permitted and co-exist here, or should there be a 
dedicated version of the group (eg uk.rec.competitions.commercialposts) ?

I don't see many people posting commercial posts, and for the limited number 
who do, maybe guidelines should be created so everyone can be included?

This is really the only suitable NG at present for any form of comping in 
the UK, and I can't see anywhere dedicated to pay entries.

I'm personally not interested in competitions where you have to pay a fee to
enter, like where a text cost you 1.50 plus the actual text cost. I
consider these to be the same as gambling, buying raffle tickets, or taking
part in the lottery.

Because of this I wouldn't like them to be posted here, but if the charter
for the group is changed to include them, it would be very helpful if
something was posted in the subject line so I could add it to the filter in
my newsreader so they were deleted so I didn't keep reading them by mistake.
