Winners - America beckons for lucky hospice draw winners
A trip to Disneyland and California could be on the cards for a lucky
Burnley family who won the top prize in the recent Pendleside Hospice
Lottery Grand Draw.
Mr Eddie Starkie, managing director of Althams Travel Services, presented
Mrs Julie Frayling and her nine-year-old son, Bradley, with the 4,000
holiday voucher and 1,000 spending money.
The delighted family were on holiday in Pembroke when the heard they had won
the big prize!
Julie's husband, Mr Gareth Frayling, said: "We were ecstatic and thrilled to
bits when we got the good news. We were really glad we had taken our mobile
with us on holiday."
Lottery manager Carolyn Ingham said the Grand Draw was a huge success. "A
total of 11,585 tickets were entered in the draw, as well as the regular
hospice lottery players," she said. "It is really good that we can give
something back to the people that support us. Thanks to everyone who bought
single tickets, and our 6,000 lottery members that play every week."
Althams supplied the holiday voucher again this year and sold 1,200-worth
of tickets through its local shops to support the hospice, its charity of
the year.
