DISC: Nutrigrain tactics
Don't know how anyone else is going about it, but since there are
probably not going to be any 'quiet' hours with the new comp, I'm
going for a 1-entry-per-draw, excluding the 9am draw route this
time round.

And I'm not wasting so much energy trying to find them cheaper.
I've bought 4 boxes from Somerfield (bloody expensive! Although
if you count it as 25p a bar and 10p an SMS, that's not much more
than a 1st class stamp, I guess) and I'm unwrapping them and
passing them onto the ex, who actually actively buys the horrid
things, in exchange for an occasional coffee.

It's a shame - I thought Benjamin was taking a shine to the raisin
elevenses, but then he started spitting it out. :-< And I bought
a packet of the ginger ones without checking they had the comp on
them first!! Foolish girl.

Any chance you can get some deals on the texts, I used an old O2 giveaway PAYG sim in an old phone and got a load of free texts which are no good for the premium comps, but work fine for these, so I pay nothing.

I've just been to Kwiksave and they were 99p for 8. I bought 6 boxes and
took them home. I then sent 2 codes and they were invalid. I rang Kelloggs
and they checked the codes for me and couldn't understand why they were
coming up as invalid. Anyway, the very nice lady at Kelloggs took my name
and address and said she would send me 48 new codes and some free ones for
the inconvenience.

I think most people don't win whatever they are using.

I've ordered an O2 sim (and I'm planning on moving from my current 8-year-old
Orange contract to it once it arrives, as I'm fed up with paying 25 quid a
month for no real reason any more) and will use that if it ever arrives, but
not got one atm ...

Actually, I may ask my little brother to help me out, as he has a used-to-
be-genie Sim with free SMSes on it, he'll probably send them in for a cut.
Assuming he's competent about it.

Bah, when I had to call up last time to get lots of unprinted codes I
never got anything "for my trouble" despite having to phone them several
times to chase them up.

But thanks for the tip - I'll ask my mum to check KwikSave for me
tomorrow.  Damn, so much for my not chasing special offers.  :-}

Question to the winners - what time of day did you get your WTC?
(and has anyone spotted anything in t+c that means that if you
miss the call, you miss out? Or do they try you again?)

(she says, with her mobile battery running very very low today)

Oops, I've just realised I've made a little mistake with my working out.
I wasn't entering one 9-10, which is the 10am draw, not the 9am one.
And the 5pm draw is the one all NPN entries go into, so that should
be the one I miss. So I think I'm going to move my 4-5pm entries to
the 9-10am one.

I'm debating whether I should be doing a postcard entry each day, too.
At least until I get an O2 sim (if it ever arrives) and hence save 10p
per entry.

Didn't know you could do postcard entry on this? Is it on the

Judging by the info on the Kellogg's site, they must be getting hardly
any NPN entries and we've all been avoiding the 5pm slot because we
thought they'd have loads. The result is, the 5pm slot is the one with
the lowest entry of all (and the 4pm slot the one with the highest)

Look at
http://www.kelloggs.co.uk/nutri-grain/nutri-grain.html
then select "Prime time planner" then "when will your best chance to
win be?"

So I've entered between 4pm and 5pm every day. Still not won though.
