Twinning of newsgroups. A new trend. Your ideas please.
Twinning of newsgroups. A new trend. Your ideas please.
We live in a society where towns, boroughs indeed whole shires twin
with like organisations in other countries. I have often felt that it
would be beneficial for certain newsgroups, mainly the local ones, to
be twinned with like groups in other countries and maybe with groups
within the same hierarchy. There are, as well as a number of very
good reasons why twinning should take place, also reasons why this
should not take place at all. Whilst I would like to stimulate
discussion I do not want in any way to influence the contributors.
Therefore, I have decided to keep my opinions to myself until the
discussion has been going for sometime.

There are two points which I would like to raise. First, in every
group there are a small number of very strange and misguided
contributors who do nothing else but insult, tell whoppers and
generally display their intellectual and emotional limitations via
their contributions. All of them tend to group around one person, the
one most disturbed. This behaviour tends to be exaggerated where
female contributor(s) exist. Usually these females are as
dysfunctional as the leader. Don't let them bully you nor put you of
expressing your own ideas. I am using uk.local.southwest as a base.

Thankyou,

Randy.
