General thrust:

"THE Scottish Executive has been accused of scuppering a 6 million
bus project aimed at slashing journey times into Edinburgh by 30
minutes."

"A bus corridor on the M8 was seen as "critical" to West Lothian
Councils Fastlink plans, which would cut journey times from
Livingston during peak times."

"But the Executive has refused to allow buses to use the motorway
hard shoulder during the busiest times of the day."

"Without the bus lane it cant work - thats common sense - but
allowing that to happen is outwith the control of the council.
Fastlink is just a myth."
